What Is Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)?

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a hair transplant technique that involves extracting groups of hair follicles from donor areas of the head. These donor hairs are then transplanted into areas affected by balding or thinning. The transplanted follicles continue to grow naturally, providing a fuller appearance and texture to your hair.

How Does FUE Work?

Mane Image, partnering with PAI Medical Group, performs the FUE procedure in the comfort of Mane Image's private, welcoming studio. During the FUE procedure, your PAI Medical Group surgeon extracts clusters of hair follicles from a designated donor area. Each extraction site is roughly the size of a hole punch, leaving minimal scarring, healing rapidly, and not requiring stitches.

Most FUE patients recover within 4-7 days. After the transplant, the new hair will grow naturally, blending seamlessly with your existing hair. This method is an excellent choice for achieving fullness, coverage, and a completely natural-looking hairline.

How Much Does a Hair Transplant Cost?

The cost of a hair transplant will vary per person but will typically cost between $5,800 - $16,800. There are different factors that impact the price such as:

  • Scalp Health
  • Genetics of Hair
  • Health of Donor Area
  • Number of Procedures
  • Number of Grafts
  • Scars or Medications
  • Current Hair Follicles
  • Amount of Hair Loss
